Vocational Testing

Vocational testing develops a solid foundation of aptitudes, interests, skills, and abilities.  Our ORCA Testing Administrators offer a variety of testing resources to English and Spanish-speaking clients throughout Western Washington.

ORCA Testing utilizes CareerScope®, a computerized interest and aptitude assessment system that gauges occupational interests and tests for the following:

  • General Learning Ability
  • Form Perception
  • Clerical Perception
  • Mechanical Reasoning
  • Verbal Aptitude
  • Numerical Aptitude
  • Spatial Aptitude

Interest areas are divided into the twelve occupational clusters corresponding with those used by the Guide for Occupational Exploration.  The scores for Motor Coordination, and Finger & Manual Dexterity aptitudes are derived from the client’s ability to complete the test using the computer or the testing segment using the Purdue Pegboard.  For clients who are not comfortable using a computer, the Administrator will begin the appointment with a brief tutorial on computer navigation.

ORCA Testing provides specialized testing using the Wide Range Achievement Test 4 (WRAT4), Differential Aptitude Test, and Career Assessment Inventory for clients that require specific accommodations.
